Enniskillen, a market town, and previous to 1885 a parliamentary borough, in the county of Fermanagh, Ireland, 34 miles N.E. of Sligo, on an island in the river that joins Upper and Lower Loch Erne, having ei suburb upon each bank, to which it is joined by two bridges. The principal industries are tanning and brewing, and there is considerable trade. The town, gives its name to a regiment of dragoons.
