Dill

Dill (Anethum graveolens), an umbelliferous plant, native to Africa and Southern Europe, but cultivated to a small extent in dry soil and sheltered spots in England. It resembles fennel, having decompound leaves, no involucre, yellow flowers, and oval fruits. These last yield dill-water and oil of dill, and are used in gin-distilling.
