Colepepper, John, an English cavalier and statesman of the 17th century. Born in Sussex, and entering upon foreign service, he was returned to Parliament in 1610 for Kent. Two years later he was Chancellor of the Exchequer, in the next year Master of the Rolls, and in 1664 Lord Colepepper. He was alive at the Restoration.
