Chateauroux

Chateauroux, a French town, capital of the Indre department, on the left bank of the Indre, 90 miles S.W. of Orleans. Its principal manufacture is that of woollen goods, and there is a trade in leather, iron, cattle, and lithographic stone which is quarried in the neighbourhood.
