Tuscaroras, a North American people, originally of North Carolina, who in 1712 migrated northward, and joined the Iroquois Confederacy as the "sixth nation" [IROQUOIS]; reduced (1890) to 733, nearly all in the Tuscarora Reserve, New York, and in Grand River Reserve, Ontario.
