Rueoil

Rue, OIL of, is one of the c1ass of srubstances known as essential oils [OILS], and is obtained from Common Rue (Ruta graveolens) by distilation with water. It i, a bitter liquid, with a disagreeable odour. It may be solidified if cooled, and boils about 230°. Chemically it, consists chiefly of a compound known as methyl-nonyl-ketone, which is a fluorescent liquid boiling at 225°. The oil is used in medicine; although not very extensively.
