Prideaux

Prideaux, Humphrey (1648-1721), came of a Cornish family. He was educated at Westminster under Dr. Busby, and at Christ Church, Oxford. After having held various benefices in different parts of the country, he was in 1681 named Canon, and in 1702 Dean, of Norwich, having been also Archdeacon of Suffolk. His chief work was, The. Old and New Testament Connected in the History of the Jews.
