Pharmacopoeia

Pharmacopoeia, from two Greek words signifying "a drug" and "to make." The British Pharmacopeia is an official publication containing a list of medicines and compounds, and the manner of preparing them, with their doses, etc., which is issued by the General Medical Council. The first British Pharmaeopwia was published in 1864, and several editions have appeared since.
