Peccary

Peccary, either of the two species of Dicotyles, a genus of small wild swine from the New World. D. torquatus ranges from Arkansas to Patagonia, while D. labiatus is confined to the country between British Honduras and Paraguay. The former is harmless, but the latter species is very fierce and roams about in large herds.
