Musceus

Musceus, a poet of Greece, of whom little is known, save that he flourished in the 5th century A.D. and left 340 graceful hexameters on the theme of Hero and Leander. A legendary seer of the same name existed in Attica five or six hundred years B.C., and is spoken of as the son of Orpheus and the introducer of the Eleusinian Mysteries.
