Mukden

Mukden, or Tungtien-Foo, or Shinq-Yang, the capital of the province of Shen-king, Mantchuria, China, is a walled town on a branch of the river Leaou. 500 miles N.E. of Peking. It contains a summer palace of the emperor, and does a considerable trade with the neighbouring provinces through the port of New-Chwang or Yingtze.
