Heller, Stephen (1815-88), a brilliant pianist and composer for the pianoforte, was born at Pesth. He went to Augsburg to complete his musical education, where he stayed eight years, and then went to Paris in 1838. Heller composed many etudes, preludes, tarantellas, and small pieces of great delicacy.
