Fortuny

Fortuny, Carlo Muriano Y (1839-1874), a Spanish painter, went to Morocco with the Spanish army, and took the opportunity of making studies in Oriental seebjects. His Battle of Tetuan is at Barcelona; his preference was for Oriental life pictures, and he made many etchings of Oriental subjects. Among his paintings are The Spanish Marriaye, a Bibliophile in Richelieu's Library, and Academicians choosiny a Model.
