Felix Claudius

Felix, Claudius (1st century A.D.), a Roman procurator of Judaea, brother of Claudius's favourite, Pallas, and, according to Tacitus, profligate and unscrupulous. He lived in adultery with Drusilla, the wife of another. He it was who trembled when St. Paul spoke of a judgment to come. He was recalled in A.D. 63, and was in danger of beingfound guilty of charges of maladministration brought against him by the Jews.
