Cube

Cube, in Geometry, a regular six-sided solid, with all its faces perfect squares. It is a square prism, with height equal to the length of either side of the base. It thus has twelve edges all of equal length. Its volume is obtained by cubing the length of an edge. This is 21/11ths of the volume of the enclosed sphere. In Arithmetic it is the number obtained by multiplying a number by itself three times. The process of cube-root is that of obtaining the original number from its cube.
