Corpus Christi

Corpus Christi, a festival in the Roman Catholic Church which commemorates the institution of the Eucharist, and is in special honour of the Host. It was instituted in 1264, and takes place upon the Thursday next after Trinity Sunday. In France it is called Fete-Dieu.
