Chenonceaux

Chenonceaux, a celebrated castle near Amboise, a French town in the department of Indre-et-Loire, is built partly on a bridge crossing the river Cher, and was commenced in 1524 by Chancellor Bohier and completed by Catharine de Medici. It afterwards became the property of the Condes. It is still in a good state of preservation, and contains many valuable and interesting relics.
