Betony

Betony, Stachys Betonica, a British plant belonging to the order Labiatae, common on heaths and in woods. Its pairs of oblong, crenate leaves, stalked below, but sessile where they occur between the interrupted spike of whorled flowers, are characteristic. The flowers are crimson, pink, or white.
