Beneficiary

Beneficiary, in English and Scottish law, a person in the enjoyment of the income of property held in trust for others. In English law the technical term is cestui que trust. Beneficiaries are entitled to require an account from the trustees, and to protect the property by legal means against improper acts on their part.
