Antommarchi, Francesco, a physician of Corsican birth, but educated at Florence, who was selected in 1820 to attend Napoleon at St. Helena. He remained with him till his death, and refused to sign the report drawn up by the English surgeons. On his return to Europe he wrote Les Derniers Moments de Napoleon, and settled in Poland. He left Europe for America later, and died in 1838 or a few years later.
