VII. Works

Mark 3:33 - And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brothers?

Mark 3:34 - And he looked around at those who sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brothers!

Mark 3:35 - For whoever shall do the will of God is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

Luke 6:46 - And why do you call me, Lord, Lord, and do not do the things which I say?

Matthew 7:21 - Not every one who says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

John 7:17 - If any man is willing to do his will, he shall know of the teaching, whether it is of God, or whether I speak from myself.

Matthew 5:16 - Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

John 15:8 - By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so prove to be my disciples.

John 10:37 - If I do not do the works of my Father, do not believe me.

John 10:38 - But if I do them, though you do not believe me, believe the works: that you may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I am in the Father.

Matthew 7:22 - Many will say to me on that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name cast out devils? and in your name done many miracles?

Matthew 7:23 - And then I will declare to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you who work iniquity.

Matthew 7:24 - Therefore, whoever hears these words of mine, and does them, will be like a wise man, who built his house upon a rock:

Matthew 7:25 - And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it did not fall: for it was founded upon a rock.

Matthew 7:26 - And every one who hears these words of mine, and does not do them, is like a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand:

Matthew 7:27 - And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Luke 6:47 - I will show you what he is like who comes to me, and hears my words, and does them:

Luke 6:48 - He is like a man who built a house, and dug deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the river beat violently upon that house, but could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

Luke 6:49 - But he who hears, and does not obey, is like a man who built a house upon the ground without a foundation; and the river beat violently against it, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

Luke 10:30 - And Jesus answered, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among robbers, who stripped him of his clothing, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

Luke 10:31 - And by chance a certain priest came down that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

Luke 10:32 - And likewise a Levite, when he came to that place and saw him, passed by on the other side.

Luke 10:33 - But a certain Samaritan, as he traveled, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

Luke 10:34 - And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

Luke 10:35 - And on the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, and gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.

Luke 10:36 - Now which of these three, do you think, was a neighbour to him who fell among the robbers?

Luke 10:37 - And he said, He who showed mercy on him. Then Jesus said to him, Go, and do likewise.

Luke 13:6 - Then he spoke this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit on it, and found none.

Luke 13:7 - Then he said to the keeper of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and have found none: cut it down; why should it use up the ground?

Luke 13:8 - And he answered and said to him, Lord, let it alone this year also, until I shall dig about it, and put manure on it:

Luke 13:9 - And if it bears fruit, fine: and if not, then you can cut it down.

Matthew 13:3 - And he spoke many things to them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;

Matthew 13:4 - And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the wayside, and the birds came and devoured them:

Matthew 13:8 - But other seeds fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

Matthew 13:23 - But the seed sown on the good ground is he who hears the word, and understands it; he also bears fruit, and brings forth, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.

Mark 4:3 - Listen; Behold, a sower went out to sow:

Matthew 4:4 - But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

Matthew 4:8 - Again, the devil took him to an exceedingly high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

Mark 4:20 - And these are the ones who are like seed sown on good ground; they hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirty, some sixty, and some a hundredfold.

Matthew 12:33 - Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and its fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by its fruit.

Matthew 7:16 - You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles?

Luke 6:44 - For every tree is known by its fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorn bushes, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush.

Matthew 7:17 - Even so, every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a bad tree brings forth bad fruit.

Matthew 7:18 - A good tree cannot bring forth bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bring forth good fruit.

Luke 6:43 - For a good tree does not bring forth bad fruit; nor does a bad tree bring forth good fruit.

Matthew 7:19 - Every tree that does not bring forth good fruit is cut down, and cast into the fire.

Matthew 7:20 - Therefore, by their fruits you shall know them.

John 15:16 - You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and appointed you to go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: so that whatever you shall ask from the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

Matthew 21:19 - And when he saw a fig tree by the way, he came to it, and found nothing on it but leaves, and he said to it, Let no fruit grow on you ever again. And at once the fig tree withered away.

Mark 11:14 - And Jesus said to it, May no man ever eat fruit from you again. And his disciples heard it.
