XII. Mercy and Forbearance

Matthew 5:7 - Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Luke 6:36 - Be merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

Matthew 9:13 - But go and learn what this means, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.

Matthew 18:15 - If your brother shall sin against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone: if he shall hear you, you have gained your brother.

Matthew 18:16 - But if he will not hear you, then take with you one or two more, that by the testimony of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

Matthew 18:17 - And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church: but if he even refuses to hear the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax gatherer.

Matthew 18:27 - Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and released him, and forgave him the debt.

Matthew 18:33 - Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, even as I had pity on you?
