XVIII. Faithfulness and Watchfulness

Luke 16:10 - He who is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he who is dishonest in the least is also dishonest in much.

Luke 16:11 - Therefore, if you have not been faithful with worldly wealth, who will entrust you with true riches?

Luke 16:12 - And if you have not been faithful with that which is another man's, who shall give you possessions of your own?

Matthew 24:45 - Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?

Matthew 24:46 - Blessed is that servant, whom his lord shall find so doing when he comes.

Matthew 24:47 - Truly I say to you, That he shall put him in charge of all his goods.

Luke 12:42 - And the Lord said, Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his servants, to give them their portion of food at the proper time?

Luke 12:43 - Blessed is that servant, whom his lord shall find so doing when he comes.

Luke 12:44 - Truly I say to you, that he will make him ruler over all that he has.

Matthew 24:43 - But know this, that if the owner of the house had known at what time the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.

Matthew 24:44 - Therefore you must also be ready: for the Son of man will come at an hour you do not expect.

Luke 12:35 - Be dressed and ready, and keep your lamps burning;

Luke 12:36 - And be like men who wait for their lord to return from the wedding feast; that when he comes and knocks, they may open the door for him immediately.

Luke 12:37 - Blessed are those servants, whom the lord shall find watching when he comes: truly I say to you, that he shall dress himself to serve, and make them sit down at the table, and will come forth and serve them.

Luke 12:38 - And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

Luke 12:39 - And know this, that if the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.

Luke 12:40 - Therefore you be ready also: for the Son of man will come at a hour when you do not expect.

Luke 12:47 - And that servant, who knew his lord's will, and did not prepare himself, and did not do his will, shall be beaten with many blows.

Luke 12:48 - But he who did not know, and committed things worthy of a beating, shall be beaten with few blows. For to whomever much is given, of him shall much be required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask all the more.

Luke 21:36 - Watch therefore, and pray always, that you may be strong and accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Matthew 24:42 - Therefore watch: for you do not know on what day your Lord will come.

Matthew 25:13 - Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.

Matthew 26:41 - Watch and pray, that you do not enter into temptation: the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Mark 13:33 - Take heed, watch and pray: for you do not know when the time will come.

Mark 13:34 - It is like a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to each man his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch.

Mark 13:35 - Watch therefore: for you do not know when the master of the house comes, at evening, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

Mark 13:36 - Lest he come suddenly and find you sleeping.

Mark 13:37 - And what I say to you I say to all, Watch.

Mark 14:38 - Watch and pray, that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Luke 22:46 - And said to them, Why do you sleep? rise and pray, that you may not enter into temptation.
