The Twelve Apostles

Matthew 10:5 - These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Do not go among the Gentiles, and do not enter into any city of the Samaritans:

Matthew 10:6 - But rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Matthew 10:7 - And as you go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matthew 10:8 - Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely you have received, freely give.

Matthew 10:9 - Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor copper for your purses,

Matthew 10:10 - Nor bag for your journey, nor two coats, nor sandals, nor a staff: for the workman is worthy of his food.

Luke 9:3 - And he said to them, Take nothing for your journey, no staff, no bag, no bread, no money; not even an extra tunic.

Matthew 10:11 - And into whatever city or village you shall enter, inquire who in it is worthy; and abide there until you depart.

Mark 6:10 - And he said to them, Wherever you enter a house, abide there until you depart from that place.

Luke 9:4 - And whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave the town.

Matthew 10:12 - And when you come into a house, greet it.

Matthew 10:13 - And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.

Matthew 10:14 - And whoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when you depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.

Luke 9:5 - And whoever will not receive you, when you go out of that town, shake off the dust from your feet as a testimony against them.

Matthew 10:15 - Truly I say to you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city.

Mark 6:11 - And whoever will not receive you, or hear you, when you depart from there, shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.

Matthew 10:16 - Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: therefore be as wise as serpents, and as harmless as doves.

Matthew 10:17 - But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;

Matthew 10:18 - And you shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, as a testimony to them and the Gentiles.

Matthew 10:19 - But when they deliver you up, do not be anxious about how or what you shall speak: for it shall be given to you in that hour what you shall speak.

Matthew 10:20 - For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.

Matthew 10:21 - And brother shall deliver up brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.

Matthew 10:22 - And you shall be hated by all men for my name's sake: but he who endures to the end shall be saved.

John 16:2 - They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time comes when whoever kills you will think that he is serving God.

John 16:3 - And these things they will do to you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

Matthew 10:23 - But when they persecute you in this city, flee into another: for truly I say to you, You shall not have gone through the cities of Israel, before the Son of man comes.

Matthew 10:24 - The disciple is not above his teacher, nor the servant above his master.

Matthew 10:25 - It is enough for the disciple that he is like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more the members of his household?

John 15:20 - Remember the word that I said to you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my word, they will keep yours also.

John 15:21 - But all these things they will do to you for my name's sake, because they do not know him who sent me.

Matthew 10:26 - Therefore, do not fear them: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and nothing hidden, that shall not be made known.

Matthew 10:27 - What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light: and what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim from the housetops.

Matthew 10:40 - He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me.
