X. Death, Resurrection, and Ascension

John 12:23 - And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour has come for the Son of man to be glorified.

John 12:24 - Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone: but if it dies, it brings forth much fruit.

Luke 18:31 - Then he took the twelve aside, and said to them, Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.

Luke 9:22 - Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised on the third day.

Luke 18:32 - For he shall be delivered to the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully treated, and spit upon:

Luke 18:33 - And they shall flog him, and put him to death: and on the third day he shall rise again.

Mark 9:31 - For he taught his disciples, and said to them, The Son of man will be delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after he is killed, he shall rise on the third day.

Matthew 17:22 - And when they came together in Galilee, Jesus said to them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:

Matthew 17:23 - And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceedingly sorry.

John 16:20 - Truly, truly, I say to you, You shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and you shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

John 16:21 - A woman, when she is in travail, has sorrow, because her hour has come: but as soon as she has delivered the child, she remembers the anguish no more, for joy that a child has been born into the world.

John 16:22 - So also you have sorrow now: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and no man shall take your joy from you.

John 16:25 - These things I have spoken to you in parables: but the time comes when I shall no longer speak to you in parables, but I shall tell you plainly of the Father.

John 16:26 - On that day you shall ask in my name; and I do not say to you that I will ask the Father for you:

John 7:33 - Then Jesus said to them, Yet for a little while shall I be with you, and then I go to him who sent me.

John 7:34 - You shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, there you cannot come.

John 8:21 - Then Jesus said again to them, I go my way, and you shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: where I go, you cannot come.

John 13:33 - Little children, yet a little while I am with you. You shall seek me: and as I said to the Jews, so now I say to you: Where I go, you cannot come.

John 12:7 - Then Jesus said, Let her alone: she has kept it for the day of my burial.

Matthew 26:12 - When she poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial.

Mark 14:8 - She has done what she could: she has come beforehand to anoint my body for burial.

Luke 5:35 - But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then they shall fast in those days.

John 16:7 - Nevertheless, I tell you the truth; It is for your good that I go away: for if I do not go away, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send him to you.

John 14:29 - And now I have told you before it comes to pass, that, when it has come to pass, you might believe.

Luke 12:50 - But I have a baptism to undergo; and how distressed I am until it is accomplished!

John 10:17 - Therefore my Father loves me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it up again.

John 10:18 - No man takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it up again. This commandment I have received from my Father.

John 16:32 - Behold, the hour comes, yea, has now come, when you shall be scattered, every man to his own home, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

Matthew 26:31 - Then Jesus said to them, This night all of you shall fall away because of me: for it is written, I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered.

Mark 14:27 - And Jesus said to them, All you shall fall away because of me: for it is written, I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.

John 13:36 - Simon Peter said to him, Lord, where are you going? Jesus answered him, Where I go, you cannot follow me now; but you shall follow me afterwards.

John 6:62 - What then if you should see the Son of man ascend to where he was before?

John 3:13 - No man has ascended to heaven, but he who came down from heaven, the Son of man.

John 20:17 - Jesus said to her, Do not hold me; for I have not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say to them, I ascend to my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
