His Mission

Matthew 11:15 - He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

Mark 7:16 - [If any man has ears to hear, let him hear.]

Mark 4:22 - For there is nothing hidden, which shall not be revealed; nor is anything kept secret that shall not come to light.

Luke 8:17 - For nothing is hidden, that shall not be disclosed; nor anything secret, that shall not be made known and come into the open.

Luke 12:2 - For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; nor hidden, that shall not be known.

Luke 12:3 - Therefore, whatever you have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which you have spoken in the ear behind closed doors shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.

Mark 4:21 - And he said to them, Is a lamp brought in to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a lampstand?

Luke 8:16 - No man, when he has lighted a lamp, covers it with a container, or puts it under a bed; but sets it on a stand, that those who enter may see the light.

Luke 11:33 - No man, after lighting a lamp, puts it in a cellar, or under a bushel, but on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light.

John 8:12 - Then Jesus spoke again to them, saying, I am the light of the world: he who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

John 18:37 - So Pilate said to him, You are a king then? Jesus answered, You say that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause I came into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Every one who is of the truth hears my voice.

John 9:39 - And Jesus said, For judgment I came into this world, that those who do not see might see; and that those who see might be made blind.

John 5:30 - I can do nothing by myself: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I do not seek my own will, but the will of him who sent me.

John 6:38 - For I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.

John 12:47 - And if any man hears my words, and does not believe, I do not judge him: for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.

John 9:5 - As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

John 3:19 - And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

John 3:20 - For everyone who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

John 3:21 - But he who practices the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be shown to have been done through God.

John 11:9 - Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.

John 11:10 - But if a man walks in the night, he stumbles, because there is no light in him.

John 10:1 - Truly, truly, I say to you, He who does not enter by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs in by some other way, he is a thief and a robber.

John 10:2 - But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

John 10:3 - To him the gatekeeper opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his sheep by name, and leads them out.

John 10:4 - And when he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

John 10:5 - A stranger they will not follow, but will flee from him: for they do not know the voice of strangers.

John 10:7 - Then Jesus said to them again, Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.

John 10:9 - I am the door: if any man enters by me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

John 10:10 - The thief comes only to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I have come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

John 10:11 - I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

John 10:12 - But he who is a hireling, and not the shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep, and flees: and the wolf attacks them, and scatters the sheep.

John 10:13 - The hireling flees, because he is a hireling, and does not care for the sheep.

John 10:14 - I am the good shepherd, and I know my own, and my own know me,

John 10:15 - Just as the Father knows me, and I know the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

John 10:16 - And I have other sheep, which are not of this fold: I must bring them also, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

John 10:17 - Therefore my Father loves me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it up again.

John 10:18 - No man takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it up again. This commandment I have received from my Father.

John 10:27 - My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

John 10:28 - And I give them eternal life; and they shall never perish, nor shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

John 10:29 - My Father, who gave them to me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

Matthew 5:17 - Do not think that I have come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I have not come to destroy, but to fulfill.

Luke 9:56 - And they went to another village.

John 5:25 - Truly, truly, I say to you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and those who hear shall live.

John 5:28 - Do not marvel at this: for the hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs shall hear his voice,

John 5:29 - And shall come forth; those who have done good, to the resurrection of life; and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment.

Matthew 9:12 - But when Jesus heard that, he said to them, Those who are whole do not need a physician, but those who are sick.

Matthew 9:13 - But go and learn what this means, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.

Mark 2:17 - When Jesus heard it, he said to them, Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.

Luke 5:31 - And Jesus answered and said to them, Those who are well do not need a physician; but those who are sick.

Luke 5:32 - I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Matthew 18:11 - [For the Son of man has come to save that which was lost.]

Luke 19:10 - For the Son of man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.

Matthew 18:12 - What do you think? if a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains, and seek the one that has gone astray?

Matthew 18:13 - And if he finds it, truly I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep, than over the ninety-nine which did not go astray.

Matthew 10:34 - Do not think that I have come to bring peace upon the earth: I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.

Matthew 10:35 - For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.

Matthew 10:36 - And a man's foes shall be those of his own household.

Luke 12:51 - Do you suppose that I have come to give peace on earth? I tell you, No; but rather division:

Luke 12:52 - For from henceforth there shall be five in one house, divided, three against two, and two against three.

Luke 12:53 - They shall be divided father against son, and son against father; mother against daughter, and daughter against mother; mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.

Luke 12:49 - I have come to send fire on the earth; and how I wish it was already kindled.

Luke 4:21 - And he said to them, Today is this scripture fulfilled in your hearing.

Luke 4:23 - And he said to them, You will surely quote to me this proverb, Physician, heal yourself: whatever we have heard you did in Capernaum, do here in your home town as well.

Luke 4:24 - And he said, Truly I say to you, No prophet is accepted in his own home town.

Luke 4:25 - But I tell you a truth, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the sky was shut up three years and six months, when there was great famine throughout all the land;

Luke 4:26 - But Elijah was sent to none of them, but only to Sarepta, in the land of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.

Luke 4:27 - And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, only Naaman the Syrian.

John 8:26 - I have many things to say and to judge about you: but he who sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard from him.

Matthew 15:26 - But he answered and said, It is not proper to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.

Matthew 21:33 - Hear another parable: There was a certain landowner, who planted a vineyard, and put a hedge around it, and dug a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to farmers, and went to a far country:

Matthew 21:34 - And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the tenants, that they might collect his fruit.

Matthew 21:35 - And the tenants took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.

Matthew 21:36 - Again, he sent other servants, more than the first: and they did the same to them.

Matthew 21:37 - But last of all he sent to them his son, saying, They will respect my son.

Matthew 21:38 - But when the tenants saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize his inheritance.

Matthew 21:39 - And they took him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him.

Matthew 21:40 - Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?

Mark 12:1 - And he began to speak to them in parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set a hedge about it, and dug a place for the winepress, and built a tower, and rented it out to farmers, and went to a far country.

Mark 12:2 - And at harvest time he sent a servant to the farmers, that he might receive from them some of the fruit of the vineyard.

Mark 12:3 - But they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty-handed.

Mark 12:4 - And he sent to them another servant; and they wounded him in the head, and treated him shamefully.

Mark 12:5 - And he sent another; but they killed him, and so they did to many others; beating some, and killing some.

Mark 12:6 - Having yet one more to send, his well-beloved son, he sent him last of all to them, saying, They will respect my son.

Mark 12:7 - But the farmers said to themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours.

Mark 12:8 - And they took him, and killed him, and threw him out of the vineyard.

Mark 12:9 - Therefore, what shall the owner of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the farmers, and will give the vineyard to others.

Luke 20:9 - Then he began to tell the people this parable; A certain man planted a vineyard, and rented it out to tenants, and went into a far country for a long time.

Luke 20:10 - And at harvest time he sent a servant to the tenants, that they should give him some of the fruit of the vineyard: but the tenants beat him, and sent him away empty-handed.

Luke 20:11 - He sent another servant: and they beat him also, and treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty-handed.

Luke 20:12 - And he sent a third: and they wounded him, and cast him out.

Luke 20:13 - Then the lord of the vineyard said, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it may be they will respect him when they see him.

Luke 20:14 - But when the tenants saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir: come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.

Luke 20:15 - So they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What then shall the lord of the vineyard do to them?

Luke 20:16 - He shall come and destroy these tenants, and shall give the vineyard to others. When they heard this, they said, God forbid.
