John the Baptist

Matthew 17:11 - And Jesus answered them, Elijah truly shall come first, and restore all things.

Matthew 11:14 - And if you will receive it, he is Elijah, who was to come.

Mark 9:13 - But I say to you, That Elijah has indeed come, and they have done to him whatever they pleased, as it is written of him.

John 5:33 - You sent to John, and he bore witness to the truth.

John 5:35 - He was a burning and a shining light: and you were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.

Matthew 11:7 - And as they departed, Jesus began to say to the multitudes concerning John, What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?

Matthew 11:8 - But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft clothing? behold, those who wear soft clothing are in kings' houses.

Matthew 11:9 - But what did you go out to see? A prophet? yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet.

Matthew 11:10 - For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who shall prepare your way before you.

Matthew 11:11 - Truly I say to you, Among those who are born of women there has not arisen one greater than John the Baptist: yet he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

Luke 7:24 - And when the messengers of John departed, he began to speak to the people about John: What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?

Luke 7:25 - But what did you go out to see? A man dressed in soft clothing? Behold, those who are gorgeously dressed, and live luxuriously, are in kings' courts.

Luke 7:26 - But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and much more than a prophet.

Luke 7:27 - This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who shall prepare your way before you.

Luke 7:28 - For I say to you, Among those born of women there is none greater than John: but he who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.

Matthew 21:25 - The baptism of John, where was it from? from heaven, or from men? And they reasoned among themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say to us, Why then did you not believe him?

Mark 11:30 - The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men? answer me.

Luke 20:4 - The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men?

Matthew 11:18 - For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He has a devil.

Luke 7:33 - For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and you say, He has a devil.
