II. Prayer
Matthew 6:5 - And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and at the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, They have received their reward.
Luke 18:10 - Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a tax gatherer.

Luke 18:12 - I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
Luke 18:13 - And the tax gatherer, standing far off, would not lift up so much as his eyes to heaven, but beat upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me, a sinner.
Luke 18:14 - I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one who exalts himself shall be abased; and he who humbles himself shall be exalted.
Matthew 6:6 - But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret shall reward you.
Matthew 6:7 - But when you pray, do not use meaningless repetition, as the Gentiles do: for they think that they shall be heard for their many words.
Matthew 6:8 - Therefore, do not be like them: for your Father knows what things you have need of, before you ask him.
Matthew 7:7 - Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you:
Matthew 7:8 - For every one who asks receives; and he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks it shall be opened.
Matthew 7:9 - Or what man is there among you, whom, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?
Matthew 7:10 - Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent?
Matthew 7:11 - If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him?
Matthew 6:9 - Therefore, pray in this manner: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be your name.
Matthew 6:10 - Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Matthew 6:11 - Give us this day our daily bread.
Matthew 6:12 - And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
Matthew 6:13 - And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Luke 11:2 - And he said to them, when you pray, say, Father, Hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come.
Luke 11:3 - Give us day by day our daily bread.
Luke 11:4 - And forgive our sins; for we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation.

John 14:14 - If you shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.
John 16:23 - And in that day you shall ask me nothing. Truly, truly, I say to you, Whatever you shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you.
John 16:24 - Until now you have asked for nothing in my name: ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full.
John 15:7 - If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you.

Luke 11:7 - And from within he shall answer and say, Do not trouble me: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give you anything.
Luke 11:8 - I say to you, Though he will not rise and give him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as much as he needs.
Luke 11:9 - And I say to you, Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.
Luke 11:10 - For every one who asks receives; and he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks it shall be opened.
Luke 11:11 - Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a serpent?
Luke 11:12 - Or if he asks for an egg, will offer him a scorpion?
Luke 11:13 - If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?
Luke 18:2 - Saying, There was a judge in a city, who did not fear God or respect man:
Luke 18:3 - And there was a widow in that city; and she kept coming to him, saying, Give me justice against my adversary.
Luke 18:4 - And he would not for a while: but afterward he said to himself, Though I do not fear God or respect man;
Luke 18:5 - Yet because this widow bothers me, I will give her justice, lest by her continual coming she wear me out.
Luke 18:6 - And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge says.
Luke 18:7 - And shall not God vindicate his elect, who cry day and night to him, and will he delay long with them?
Luke 18:8 - I tell you that he will vindicate them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of man comes, shall he find faith on the earth?
