I. The Atonement

John 5:39 - You search the scriptures; for in them you think you have eternal life: and it is they that testify of me.

John 8:56 - Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

Mark 9:12 - And he answered them, Elijah truly comes first, and restores all things; and how is it written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be treated with contempt?

Matthew 17:12 - But I say to you, That Elijah has already come, and they did not know him, but have done to him whatever they pleased. Likewise shall the Son of man suffer at their hands.

Luke 22:22 - Truly the Son of man goes, as it was determined: but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed!

Matthew 26:24 - The Son of man goes as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it would have been better for that man if he had not been born.

Mark 14:21 - The Son of man shall indeed go, just as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it would be better for that man if he had never been born.

Luke 9:22 - Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised on the third day.

Matthew 20:18 - Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,

Matthew 20:19 - And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and on the third day he shall be raised up.

Mark 10:33 - Saying, Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered to the chief priests, and to the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles:

Mark 10:34 - And they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him: and the third day he shall rise again.

John 10:17 - Therefore my Father loves me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it up again.

John 10:18 - No man takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it up again. This commandment I have received from my Father.

Mark 10:45 - For even the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Matthew 20:28 - Even as the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.

John 6:38 - For I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.

John 6:39 - And this is the will of him who sent me, that of all he has given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up on the last day.

John 6:40 - And this is the will of my Father, that every one who sees the Son, and believes in him, may have eternal life: and I will raise him up on the last day.

John 8:28 - Then Jesus said to them, When you have lifted up the Son of man, then you shall know that I am he, and that I do nothing by myself; but I speak these things as my Father has taught me.

John 6:51 - I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

Luke 22:19 - And he took bread, and gave thanks, and broke it, and gave to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: do this in remembrance of me.

1 Corinthians 11:24 - And when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, This is my body, which is for you: do this in remembrance of me.

Mark 14:24 - And he said to them, This is my blood of the covenant, which is shed for many.

Luke 22:20 - Likewise he took the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood.

1 Corinthians 11:25 - In the same manner he took the cup, after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood: do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.

John 13:10 - Jesus said to him, He who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but he is clean all over: and you are clean, but not all of you.

John 13:7 - Jesus answered and said to him, What I do you do not understand now; but you shall understand later.

John 13:8 - Peter said to him, You shall never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I do not wash you, you have no part with me.

John 17:1 - These words Jesus spoke, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you:

John 17:2 - Since you have given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as you have given him.

John 17:3 - And this is life eternal, that they might know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

John 17:4 - I have glorified you on the earth: I have finished the work which you gave me to do.

John 17:6 - I have manifested your name to the men whom you gave me out of the world: yours they were, and you gave them to me; and they have kept your word.

John 17:19 - And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified in the truth.

John 17:20 - I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who shall believe in me through their word;

John 17:21 - That they all may be one; as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that you have sent me.

John 17:23 - I in them, and you in me, that they may be made perfectly one; and that the world may know that you have sent me, and have loved them, as you have loved me.

John 12:27 - Now is my soul troubled; and shall I say, Father, save me from this hour? but it is for this reason that I came to this hour.

Mark 14:36 - And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible for you; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what you will.

Matthew 26:39 - And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.

Luke 22:42 - Saying, Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but yours, be done.

Matthew 26:42 - He went away again, a second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this may not pass away from me, except I drink it, your will be done.

John 18:11 - Then Jesus said to Peter, Put your sword into its sheath: the cup which my Father has given me, shall I not drink it?

Luke 24:26 - Was it not necessary for the Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

John 19:30 - When Jesus received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up his spirit.

John 11:25 - Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live:

John 11:26 - And whoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?
