Vespasian (ves-pa'zhe-an), Titus Flavius Sabinus. Was emperor of Rome from 70 to 79 A.D. He distinguished himself in many military commands before he became emperor, and was engaged in the war with the Jews when he was raised to the throne. His government was highly beneficial to the state.
