Stenographer with Western Union Telegraph Co.; Henry Holt & Co., 1884-85; Scribner's 1885-88. Editor of "The Ladies' Home Journal," 1889-1919; vice-president, "The Curtis Publishing Co. Author: "The Young Man in Business" and "Successward."
