Dictionary Description

A dictionary, for purposes of this Bible Translator, is a simple text file containing rows of text. Each row contains an original word (or phrase), followed by a tab, followed by a new word (or phrase). There should be nothing beside this in the dictionary.

Example
(Note: "<TAB>" is symbolic of the tab key on your keyboard.)

oldword <TAB> newword
oldword <TAB> newword
oldword <TAB> newword
oldword <TAB> newword
oldword <TAB> newword
oldword <TAB> newword
oldword <TAB> newword
oldword <TAB> newword

It may also contain:

an old phrase <TAB> a new phrase
an old phrase <TAB> a new phrase
an old phrase <TAB> a new phrase
an old phrase <TAB> a new phrase
an old phrase <TAB> a new phrase

That's all there is to it. You can create a dictionary using a word processor or spreadsheet program. [A spreadsheet program, such as Excel, is helpful because you can put the original word (or phrase) in column A and the new word (or phrase) in column B. When you save an Excel spreadsheet as a simple text file it automatically inserts the tab.]

Remember, though, the dictionary must be saved as a simple text file.
